  June 9–14, 2026, IKFKOS will present the fourth edition of the Transformation festival in Bergslagen and Stockholm. This edition takes a somewhat different direction from the previous ones. The working process revolves around sound, animism and shamanism. The participants ask themselves how contemporary music can draw inspiration and nourishment from these practices. The investigations take place alongside a continued exploration of biofeedback in musical composition and improvisation. During their stay in Sweden, the participating musicians will collaborate with a Sámi shaman so that they can learn about traditional Sámi traditions. A public events will take place on June 12 at The Outpost and in a Sámi kåta (a Sámi traditional house) outside Riddarhyttan in Bergslagen, in collaboration with Teatermaskinen .
