Join us at Etnografiska in Stockholm

Please join us at Etnografiska in Stockholm at 6pm, October 9, 2024. Together with our sister organisation MKP, we organise an event called “Noche de Muertos”. Within the exhibition ¡Viva Mexico! dancers and performers from Sweden, Finland and Mexico will present performances specially conceived for the context, place and time. The performances have  been developed during a dance workshop at Teatermaskinen in Riddarhyttan in September 2024. The work has been led by Ricardo Rubio, who is a Mexican choreographer, poet, and performance artist. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience the work of him. Ailish Maher and Carima Neusser are also performing. The event is supported by OPSTART at Nordic Culture fund. WELCOME!

More Nordic Dance at Teatermaskinen

With our our sister organisation MKP we organise a a dance workshop that focuses on Nordic romantic art and its relationship to indigenous culture. Did it create the deathblow to indigenous ontologies, or does it inspire to return to our roots? The workshop takes place at Teatermaskinen in Riddarhyttan September 17-28. In the workshop we work together with Mexican choreographer Ricardo Rubio. Together dancers and musicians will investigate how 19th century romantic art can become an inspiration for new contemporary dance. Participants come from Sweden, Norway and Finland. Drop us a line at info [at] visionforum.eu if you want to join. Participation in the workshop is free. A public presentation will be held at Etnografiska in Stockholm on November 9. It will take place within the current exhibition on Mexican culture and how it relates to death. More info soon. The project is supported by Nordic Culture Fund's Opstart program. ...
