  Jonas Engman who has worked in Sami shamanic traditions all his adult life will lead a workshop at Teatermaskinen May 26-29, 2025. During the workshop the group will focus on how contemporary dance and choreography can be incorporated into traditional Sami and Kven traditions and ceremonies, as well as how contemporary stage performers can learn from Sami and Kven practices. The workshop will end with a public performance in a traditional Sami Kåta and offers a unique opportunity to experience traditional animism in dialogue with cutting edge performative expressions.
